You do not need any special software to access
and use V-DoX. The only requirement is that you have Internet Explorer (with Active-X)
or any other web browser to access your V-DoX, MSWord to transcribe the files and your favorite audio player and foot pedal. To upload files, you may use the VUploader or the V-800 Call-in system. BACK TO TOP
- What Software will I need for using V-800, the phone call-in system ?
You do not need any special software to access and use the V-800 system. All that is required for accessing the dictated files is an internet connection and a good web-browser capable of 128bit encrypted transmissions. You receive the audio files in mp3 format and can use your favorite audio player to listen to it. Almost all players will work with the downloaded audio files eg. Express-scribe, Winamp, Olympus DSS Player etc. BACK TO TOP

The special price for using the V-800 is 11 cents per minute of usage. A yearly setup fee of 49.99 is required. To receive the audio files, you will need to sign up for a V-DoX plan. BACK TO TOP
- Is it Secure? Is it HIPAA compliant? We use industry standard 128 bit encrypted transmission for all interactions. At the same time all user have to enter login names and passwords to access the website.
A word of caution: All the security and encryption is only as strong as the password that protects the access. So anybody with your password to our V-Safes would be able to see your files.
We are committed to being HIPAA compliant for your safety. BACK TO TOP
- How will I receive the audio dictations?

Yes, you can batch print multiple document files. You can also Batch download multiple files, either individually or as a single zip file. BACK TO TOP
- Can I use the V-800 Call-in system too?
Yes, Once you're account is authorized by Vareque,
you can create the v-800 access IDs (maximum = total number of clients
in your plan) on your own and provide the numbers to your authors. Then, when
they dictate on the V-800, you would receive the dictation file
in your V-DoX. BACK TO TOP
- Why should I use V-Safes?
Using the V-DoX is an alternative to setting up your own FTP server and telephone server and managing it. You have to deal with all the problems associated with a professional and production grade server. The V-800 is tied into the system thus allowing you the opportunity to provide choices to your clients, thus making your market bigger. The enterprise grade servers we use would have cost you hundreds of thousands of dollars to provide your clients with the same user experience. We believe that one should concentrate and use their time fruitfully in the business that one has chosen and we are pretty sure that 'Server System Administrator' is nowhere in your business plan. In addition with all the work pool management, Invoicing and printing tools we provide, the system replaces a full time employee with greater accuracy and efficiency. BACK TO TOP
- What is the VUploader?
The VUploader is a quiet attendant whose
sole purpose is to get you your voice and transcribed files. Once programmed,
it sits quietly in the taskbar, monitoring the folders you assign to it. As
soon as the user drops a file into those folders, the VUploader, will
pick it up and upload it into your V-DoX Server. Thus you can receive audio files
from your Authors. BACK TO TOP
- How can I send or allocate the audio files to my transcriptionists? The V-DoX includes a complete transcriptionist management system. You can create individual logins for Transcriptionists and QA administrators. You can create rules for work pool matching transcriptionists to individual doctors and controlling checkout and checkin of jobs. As an Administrator you can also over-ride the system and manually assign jobs.

- How will my transcriptionists send their transcribed documents to me?
Once you have created the Transcriptionist login IDs, they can login to the V-DoX on their own computers. Now they need to install an active X editor (the VEdPro) that uses the power of MSWord. Once transcribed, they click a button on the VEdPro and the transcribed file is saved directly to your V-DoX for further processing. BACK TO TOP
- What are the ways I can deliver the transcribed documents to the authors?
You create a client account for your V-DoX for your authors. This would permit them to log onto your V-DoX and view, download, print, email or fax the files associated with their uploaded audio files. You could also email the documents right from your V-DoX to your clients.
